1. What this policy covers
1.1 This Cookie Policy explains how Altruon B.V. (Altruon) uses cookies, local storage, pixels and similar technologies (together, cookies) on its websites and applications, and how you control them. It is issued under Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet) and the GDPR, and forms part of the Altruon Privacy Policy.
1.2 A cookie is a small file placed on your device. Cookies set by Altruon are first-party cookies. Cookies set by a provider acting for Altruon are third-party cookies. This policy also covers similar technologies such as localStorage, even when no HTTP cookie is set.
2. Our approach
2.1 We set as few cookies as possible. We do not use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share cookie data with advertising networks.
2.2 Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because the law allows it. Every other cookie or similar technology is used only after you click Accept all in the cookie banner. Declining has no effect on your ability to use the site, the documentation or the dashboard.
2.3 You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops further use of non-essential technologies; already-set cookies are deleted when you clear them in your browser or when they expire. Our analytics tool does not set a persistent cookie, so withdrawing consent stops further collection on the next page load.

3.1 We do not currently use marketing, advertising or social-media cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested separately before any such cookie is set.
3.2 Where the analytics tool operates without cookies and without collecting personal data, the Telecommunications Act exemption for cookies with no or negligible privacy impact may apply and consent may not be requested. Any such change will be reflected in this policy. Until then we treat Umami as optional and load it only after you accept.
4. Third-party content
4.1 We do not currently embed third-party video players, social widgets or code-sharing widgets on altruon.io. If we add them, they will load only after you consent or when you click to activate them. The third party may set its own cookies under its own policy, which we will link to at the point of activation.
4.2 Contact and sandbox request forms on altruon.io are submitted to Formspree. Formspree may set its own cookies on formspree.io when you submit a form. That happens only after you choose to send the form.
5. Browser controls
5.1 All browsers let you view, delete and block cookies. Clearing site data or localStorage on the dashboard domains will sign you out. Instructions are in your browser’s help pages. We respect the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it and you have not made a choice, we treat analytics as rejected. We do not respond to legacy Do Not Track headers.
